Posted by Lauren Wallis

We get it.  You’re spending a lot of money on your wedding and you need to cut costs somewhere. But is it worth it to cut out wedding videography? Check out how these new brides answered that question...

You may think that having  wedding photos and a wedding video is overkill, or maybe that 'B' word (budget) is haunting you again, but trust us—you'll want to hire a wedding videographer. For one, the day literally flies by and there are things you'll miss that your videographer will capture beautifully!

What to Look for in a Videographer

You also have to remember you won't hear your wedding vows when looking at photos of yourself standing at the altar, you won't remember the words to the meaningful toasts that were made at your reception or be able to relive the lyrics to the song that got Grandma on the dance floor! That is unless you get a wedding video. But don't just take our word for it—listen to feedback from these real brides

Real Brides, Real Videography Testimonials

Bride, Alyssa:

"To be totally honest, we weren't sure that we were going to get a videographer in the beginning of our wedding planning process. We weren't sure we had room in the budget and I wasn't sure that I would ever watch a video of our wedding. A lot of our friends and families encouraged us to look into a videographer, and after much thinking, we decided that we would like our ceremony and some footage getting ready and from the reception. We started looking for someone for the job and I am so glad that we found Mike Staff Productions. We have beautiful video that shows so many of the details from our day. All the excitement and celebration of our wedding day made the day pass by so quickly- the video captured will always remind us of how perfect the day was from start to finish! We can watch our ceremony, listen to our vows, and see so many our of family and friends sharing in our special day. I love the amount of detail that the video incorporates! From views of the church, to Alex and the groomsmen getting ready, to the details on my dress, and all of the dancing at the reception, I felt like I was reliving our wedding day!"

Bride, Gabby:

"Getting a video was incredibly important to me because I wanted to have something more than just pictures. We made sure to have the entire ceremony recorded and included in our video because that was the most important part of the wedding for us. I wanted to be able to go back and relive our amazing day and be able to share it with our friends and family having it on video will allow us to do just that."

Bride, Mary Kate:

"My parents got married in 1984 and we're lucky enough to have a friend film it for them. Every anniversary, they would watch their wedding video and as kids, we watched with them. It became a wonderful tradition in our family. My sister got married three years ago and had Mike Staff film their wedding and now with two kids they dance along to the video every year. I'm excited to carry on the tradition with my own family and having such a nice video from Mike Staff is very appreciated."

Bride, Alessandra:

"I had a lot of people tell me that my wedding day would fly by but I never really knew the meaning of that until the day of my wedding. It started out slow but then it quickly picked up and the night was over. It was extremely important for us to be able to see our video and remember our big day. We also got to see parts of our wedding that we missed. As the bride, you don’t really get to see everyone else going down the isle before you, the string quartet that you had during the cocktail party, your parents crying and so on. I wouldn’t have done it differently. After our honeymoon, my husband and I got to see our video together. It was our time to relive those moments all over again, show family and eventually someday to our kids."
